Bionic Woman (TV Series)

Team Velocity helps Jonas Pate (Co-Executive Producer and Director), Dean Choe and Monte Thompson (Stunt Coordinators) shape and define how the Bionic Woman moves through the air.

After reviewing live action stunt footage from previous episodes Team Velocity had helped create, Jonas asked Dean to invite Team Velocity back to provide the technical solutions to a live action stunt sequence scripted in an episode he was to direct.

Drawing on the experiences learned on the previous episode (directed by Paul Shapiro) Rob McLachlan (DOP), Mickael Wrinch (A Camera Operator) Dean, Monte, Scott Simpson (of Simpco Camera Support who provided the latest Libra 5, 3 axis head) and Team Velocity gave Jonas the ability to step it up a notch in both technology and creativity. Jonas took full advantage of the resources at his disposal and Team Velocity's ability to combine both performer and camera flying using their high speed winch systems (Pathfinder and Vector-Cam).

The efforts of all the teams' creative energies were well rewarded on shoot day with an outstanding, well choreographed, live action stunt performer flying sequence that was photographed in a visually stunning manner rarely witnessed in network television. The experience was extremely rewarding for all involved.

Look for this exciting sequence in an upcoming episode of Bionic Woman and check the NBC website for clips.
