Team Velocity's Vector-Cam was the answer to Igor Jadue-Lillo (DOP) technical and logistical problems on his Guinness commercial. Eben Mears (Director) had asked Igor to take his camera from a close up on his casts face to the upper reaches of the skyscrapers in Vancouver.
With only a 7-hour pre-rig blitz the night before, Team Velocity was ready for shooting the next morning making Greg Dobbin (1st AD) a very happy man. Eben and Igor were also happy to find out first hand on shoot day how fast and easy it was to design their shot using Velocity's Vector-Cam coupled to the latest Libra 5 3 axis camera head (provided and teched by Scott Simpson of Simpco Camera Support). Changing the camera's flight path to suit lensing, framing etc. was a simple, fast, and efficient task for Team Velocity. After the shot was in the can, Team Velocity had the rig struck and the street clean in just a couple of hours enabling Eben and Igor to complete their day on the street on schedule. The professionalism, speed, efficiency and creativity that Team Velocity provided affirmed for Sean Brennan (Production Manager) and Sophie Kluman (Producer) that they had made the right choice.
