Team Velocity putting actors back in the action on Stargate Atlantis.
Stargate Atlantis' Joe Flannigan performs his own stunts with help from Team Velocity and their 'Pathfinder' computer controlled high-speed performer flying winches.
Stunt Coordinator James Bamford and Producer John Smith showed their confidence in Team Velocity when they asked them to put Joe into five separate live action sequences.
Pathfinder's accuracy and repeatability combined with the ability to gradually ramp up the velocity, gave Joe the capability to concentrate solely on his flying choreography.
Robert Cooper (Executive Producer and Director) speaking about Team Velocity and their Rig said: 'We would not have been able to do some of the stuff we did and get the realism of the fight and actually see Joe Flannigan do some of these stunts. The safety and the incredible versatility of the flying rig allowed us to get shots that would normally have had to have been done with stunt men and from camera angles that would not have given us nearly as dynamic a scene as we ended up getting.'

John Smith (Producer) in thanking Team Velocity for doing such a great job: 'We heard a lot about your rig and it proved to be everything we were told it was and a little bit more. Excellent when we can bring something like this on to set and have it work really well and actually shoot with our actors. It saves Directors a lot of time.'
James Bamford (Stunt Coordinator) had this to say about Team Velocity's work: 'We shoot very quickly. We're moving very quickly all day long and Team Velocity saved our butts. Team Velocity was one step ahead, always.'
